This week I began a new professional adventure. It’s a one-year appointment (with the option of a reappointment) as a Visiting Associate Professor in the Graduate School of Business and Public Policy at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA. I will be spending 2-3 nights a week in that area to teach a class on communication strategies for leaders to MBA students as well as students working towards their MA degree in either contract management or project management. Plus, I’ll avoid a daily 4 hour commute from my home in San Francisco.
September 28, 2017 update
I'm also exploring research opportunities in crisis management and communications, to supplement my teaching work.
My appointment has been extended, and I'll be teaching six sections of communication strategies for leaders in 2018. Two of these will be offered via distance learning, synchronously to students located around the world.
